The Fishing Journal started as an outlet to record songs written on guitar by Chris Powell during his tenure as a drummer in Columbia, SC. During that time he played in the bands Death Becomes Even the Maiden and The Mercy Shot. This project finds him behind a guitar and microphone for the first time in years. Chuck Sligh and Josh Latham (bass and drums) have joined to form a formidable trio.
